Being a Postgraduate from the A. J. Institute of Medical Sciences in Mangalore, Dr. Sara is an ICH - GCP certified principal investigator & has experience in the conduction of multiple clinical trials and site initiation and close out procedures. Dr. Sara is also Vigiflow -trained in routine updation of adverse drug reactions. She brings in her expertise working with the Ethics Committee and was an active participant in the team for successful Re- Registration of Ethics Committee with the Drugs Controller General of India. Dr. Sara played a significant part in the successful renovation of the Department Museum at AJIMS & RC for which she collected the award for “Best Museum” at the National Level Conference of IPSCON 2016, held at PGI Chandigarh. She was also instrumental in the release of “DROGUE”, the Annual Newsletter from the Dept. of Pharmacology. She started her career as Assistant Professor in the Pharmacology Department at Mount Zion Medical College, Adoor and moved onto Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Hyderabad wherein she worked as Regional Medical Advisor in the Neurology & Gastroenterology Departments overseeing the medical team in five South Indian states. Although this industrial stint got her exposure and acquaintance with pioneers from various premier institutes and some of the best doctors in the country, she longed to return to Academics and joined the Department of Pharmacology, Azeezia Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Kollam, functioning as AMC Coordinator, Member of Pharmacovigilance Committee & Causality Assessment Committee, KUHS Evaluator for UG BDS & MBBS Examinations, Course Coordinator for Electives program, Staff Advisor for Undergraduate and Postgraduate students & Member of the Anti-Ragging Committee. She also brings her varied experience of being a National Level Educator at an online teaching platform and peer reviewer of a national journal. She continues to work as Academic Coordinator for UG teaching at Believers, Member of the Internal Academic Audit Team and Member of Department of Programs, Events & Ceremonies at BCMCH in Organizer & Emcee roles. She has also functioned as one of the many coordinators for the institutional projects like INSPIRE, IGNITE, Foundation Course among many others. She has 12+ publications to her credit and has presented multiple papers with chosen areas of interest in Pharmacoeconomics, Pharmacovigilance and Animal Studies.
