Prof Dr. Suma Thomas has been functioning as HOD of Anatomy department, BCMC since 2016. She completed her MBBS & MD Anatomy from Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, Punjab. She has worked as faculty in various medical colleges like Academy of Medical Sciences, Pariyaryam, Pushpagiri Medical College, Thiruvalla, MOSC Kolenchery and Travancore Medical College, Kollam before joining this institution in December, 2015. She is currently functioning as Professor & HOD of Anatomy department in BCMCH. She has been trained in Medical Education at the National Teacher Training Center for Health Professionals, JIPMER, Pondicherry following which she has participated as faculty in Medical Education Workshop at Academy of Medical Sciences, Pariyaram, Kannur. She has functioned as Chief Warden for the Girl’s Hostel at BCMCH for a period of 4 years. She is a Life Member of Anatomical Society of India and Society of Clinical Anatomists.
