To train students to perform dialysis for patients with kidney failure, manage equipment, and handle related procedures.

Eligibility

Pass in Higher Secondary Examination with 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Minimum age of 17 years.

Course Outline

1. 1st Year: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Principles of Nursing, Pathology-I, and Biostatistics.
2. 2nd Year: Applied anatomy and physiology related to dialysis, Applied pharmacology related to dialysis, Applied Microbiology and Pathology related to dialysis, Introduction to renal disease and Nutrition, and Basics of dialysis technology.
3. 3rd Year: Dialysis technology and hemodialysis, medical ethics, biomedical waste management and biomedical engineering, and Specialised Extra Corporeal therapy, critical care nephrology including renal transplantation.
4. 4th Year: Internship.
