Aim

To provide comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in medical microbiology for diagnostic, research, and academic roles.

Eligibility

Pass in Higher Secondary Examination with 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Minimum age of 17 years.

Course Outline

  1. 1st Year: Anatomy, Physiology, General Biochemistry, General Methodology, and Community Medicine, Health Education and Communicative English.
  2. 2nd Year: Fundamentals of Microbiology and Molecular Biology, Parasitology and Entomology, Methodology and Instrumentation, and Information Technology, Bioinformatics and AI in Healthcare.
  3. 3rd Year: Systematic Bacteriology, Immunology, Immunochemistry and Serology, and Biostatistics and Research Methodology.
  4. 4th Year: Virology and Mycology, Clinical Microbiology, Applied Microbiology and Clinical Laboratory Management, and a Project.
